In partnership with NorQuest College, ECSD Dual Credit Program offers courses for students interested in pursuing a career in the health profession.
To meet Alberta's growing needs in health care, the demand for licensed practical nurses is increasing. Professional practical nurses are educated to give high-quality care to clients in a variety of health-care settings.

Course Details
Semester I September 10, 2025 - January 7, 2026: ANPH 1001 Anatomy and Physiology I
Study the organization of the human body and the structures and functions of the body systems that provide support and movement, coordination, and regulation. Learn how body systems work together to maintain homeostasis. Terminology used by health professionals will be introduced.
Admission Requirements: Completed Biology 20 with a 70% average or greater and registered in Biology 30 concurrently
Semester II February 4, 2026 - May 27, 2026: ANPH 1002 Anatomy and Physiology II
Study the organization of the human body and the structures and functions of the body systems that provide transport and protection; absorption, diffusion, and excretion; and reproduction. Learn how body systems work together to maintain homeostasis. Terminology used by health professionals and theory and principles related to microbiology will be introduced.
Admission Requirements: English Language Arts 20-2 at 70% or English Language Arts 30-2 at 60% as well as 60% in Mathematics 20-1 or 70% in Mathematics 20-2 or 50% in Mathematics 30-1 or 60% in Mathematics 30-2 and 60% in Biology 30

Day/Time: Wednesdays 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.

$90.00 Caution Fee (Refundable upon the return of textbooks/materials in good condition)
*ECSD reserves the right to cancel courses that do not meet minimum enrolment requirements.
