Michif Minecraft is an immersive educational world in Minecraft Education, launched in February 2026 by the Rupertsland Institute and Logics Academy. It teaches Métis culture, history, and the Michif language through interactive experiences that invite students to explore, build, and engage with Métis traditions. The game features non-player character (NPC) dialogues and in-game signage incorporating the Michif language.
Each experience is thoughtfully designed to align with curricula across Canada, helping teachers bring Métis perspectives into the classroom in meaningful, engaging, and age-appropriate ways. It is learning that inspires through a platform students already love. A teacher guide, lesson plans, and professional development sessions are available to support implementation.
