In October 2023, ECSD shared an online presentation with details about the proposed attendance boundary for Father Michael McCaffery Catholic High School and asked families to share their thoughts through an online survey.
ECSD used your feedback to inform an attendance boundary decision that:
- allows as many resident students as possible to attend a school close to home
- ensures the school has room for resident students as the community grows

In September 2024, Edmonton Catholic Schools is welcoming the exciting new school of Father Michael McCaffery. The Catholic high school is located in the community of Heritage Valley and will serve students living in Southwest Edmonton. As part of our planning, we are now requesting your feedback on a proposed attendance boundary and programming for the new school.
Proposed Attendance Area
Below is the map of the proposed attendance area for Father Michael McCaffery Catholic High School, which includes the following feeder schools:
- Joan Carr Catholic Elementary/Junior High School
- Monsignor Fee Otterson Catholic Elementary/Junior High School
- St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Elementary/Junior High School
Students living within the attendance area of any of these three schools are designated to Father Michael McCaffery Catholic High School.
