What a typical day looks like?
A professional in the Finishing Trades may start by preparing surfaces for the application of paint and coatings. This involves tasks such as cleaning, sanding, and patching defects on walls and other surfaces. They may also remove existing coatings and wall coverings using specialized tools and techniques.
Once the preparation work is complete, Finishing Tradespeople apply the chosen paint or coating materials with great care, ensuring consistency in colour, coverage, and texture. They may also perform repairs on surface defects, such as cracks or holes, using suitable techniques and materials to restore both the structural integrity and visual appeal. Attention to detail and craftsmanship are paramount in the Finishing Trades, as these professionals strive to deliver smooth, visually pleasing finishes that stand the test of time.
