Summer School 2026

Your Summer. Your Pace. Your Opportunity.

What is Summer School?

Summer School with ECSD Alternative Education gives students the chance to get ahead, catch up, or try something new — while still enjoying their summer. With multiple delivery methods and locations, students can choose what works best for them. Our teachers and school teams are here to support every student along the way, ensuring a positive and productive experience.

🔗 Registration Opens April 7

Edmonton Catholic Schools’ Alternative Education Summer School offers students flexible learning options through classroom-based, self-paced, and online delivery. Courses run throughout July.

❗Attendance

Students must be physically present in Edmonton for the entire duration of their summer school course, regardless of the delivery method (Classroom-Based, Online, or Self-Paced)

Because summer school operates on a compressed timeline, the following guidelines apply:

  • No accommodations will be made for holidays, travel, or personal absences.
  • Missed exams, assessments, or required instructional hours cannot be rescheduled.
  • Excessive absences will result in withdrawal from the course due to Alberta Education hour requirements.
