ECS Foundation Builds Futures Filled with Possibility
July 20, 2026
During the 2025-2026 school year, the Edmonton Catholic Schools Foundation continued its mission of helping children and youth across the Edmonton Catholic School Division (ECSD) build bright futures. By providing access to nutritious meals, mental health supports, emergency assistance, and enriching learning experiences, the Foundation helps remove barriers so every student has the opportunity to succeed.
Through the Dreams for Kids campaign, the Foundation distributed $596,665 in funding across the Division in 2025. A total of 189 grants were awarded—21 more than the previous year—supporting 18,041 students.
Supporting Students Where They Need It Most
Over the past year, the Foundation helped provide:
- 1,531,780 snacks and meals to 7,562 students across 29 high-needs schools
- Wellness animal sessions to help students manage stress and anxiety
- Community-based field trips and experiential learning opportunities for students facing financial barriers
- Funding for medical needs, including medications and assessments not covered by public funding
- Emergency financial assistance for families experiencing hardship
The Edmonton Catholic Schools Foundation remains committed to supporting students and families throughout the 2026–2027 school year. Together, we can continue building an environment where every child, regardless of circumstances, has the opportunity to thrive academically and personally, reflecting ECSD's dedication to inclusive and compassionate education.
