Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! A new school year calls us to continue our Catholic educational journey, walking together in truth, goodness, and beauty. You will see me return to these themes often in my messages. They remind us to seek truth in our learning, to live with goodness in our actions, and to recognize the beauty of God’s presence in one another and in the world around us.
As our ECSD community settles in for another productive school year, I would like to share some reflections according to my usual themes of truth, beauty, and goodness.
I am writing this message shortly after students and teachers returned to the classroom on October 29, 2025. These past three weeks have been difficult for everyone, and I am grateful for the care and concern our ECSD community has shown each other. As we look with hope towards the future, I would like to share some reflections according to my usual themes of truth, beauty, and goodness.
The season of Advent is upon us, when our amazing ECSD community celebrates that “The Word became flesh and lived among us” (John 1:14). There are far too many events between now and Christmas for me to share them all in this brief December Message, so I will only highlight a few reflections according to my usual themes of truth, beauty, and goodness.
