The Filipino Language and Culture program at Edmonton Catholic Schools offers a progressive learning experience from elementary through high school. Beginning in Kindergarten, students are introduced to Filipino through interactive lessons, focusing on basic vocabulary, phrases, and cultural elements. As they progress to junior high, they refine their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, while exploring Filipino traditions and customs. As students progress through elementary school in Edmonton Catholic Schools, their exposure to Filipino expands, with approximately 150 minutes of language instruction per week.
