Registration is now open for the Administrative Professional and Educational Assistant full year daytime Dual Credit opportunities.
Registration for Semester 1 evening offerings for the 2026/2027 school year is now open and close August 24.
Semester 2 evening offerings for the 2026-2027 school year will open on December 4 and close on January 13.

Dual Credit uses a separate registration system (not connected to PowerSchool). A unique account is required.
First-Time Users
Please follow the steps below:
- Create a new account before you can pay for the dual credit course.
- Call 780-441-6080 for support.
- If you receive a message indicating that your ASN already exists, please call 780-441-6080 to have your profile attached to your account.
Returning users
- Once you've been accepted into the dual credit course, log in to your account to complete the payment.

FAQs
My child is in grade 10, which Dual Credit courses can they take?
For Grade 10 students, there are three Dual Credit options:
- Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC 1002 and/or ELCC 1007): Students must be concurrently enrolled in, or have already completed, English 10-1 or English 10-2 and Social Studies 10-1 or Social Studies 10-2.
- Fundamental Kitchen Skills and Trade Calculations (CULA 1100): Students must be concurrently enrolled in, or have already completed, English 10-2 and one of the following mathematics courses: Math 10C, Math 10-3, or Math 20-4.
I filled up the registration form, how can I pay?
If you are accepted into the course, payment information will be attached to your acceptance email.
Who is considered a Mature Student?
If you are 19 years of age or older as of September 1 of the current school year, you are considered an adult learner/mature student.
Will the fee still be the same if the student is 20 years old?
No, students who are 20 years old as of September 1, 2026 will be required to pay the adult fees.
Do courses with low enrollment get cancelled?
- Alternative Education reserves the right to cancel any class where the minimum enrollment is not met.
- A full refund is issued for any course cancelled by Alternative Education.

If a course does not meet the minimum enrolment:
- It may be cancelled, or
- The student may be relocated
If relocation is not possible, a full refund will be issued.

Withdrawals
If you need to withdraw from a course, please speak to both your instructor and your high school dual credit site coordinator. After your discussion, if you decide to withdraw, you must email dual credit with your decision and you will be provided a withdrawal form that you will need to complete and submit to the dualcredit@ecsd.net
IMPORTANT: If you choose to withdraw from your dual credit course, you need to understand how the timing of your withdrawal can affect your post-secondary record. A withdrawal may appear on your transcript, and in some cases, it may come with an academic penalty, which means it could impact your Grade Point Average (GPA). As a dual credit student, you’re expected to meet the same standards as a postsecondary student when it comes to attendance, participation, and academic performance. Missing classes or not engaging in coursework can negatively impact your final grade. Please note, there are strict deadlines to meet if you choose to withdraw from a course without academic penalty.
Whether or not your GPA is affected depends on when you withdraw.
Note: Your high school dual credit coordinator and your instructor will provide you with the specific withdrawal dates for your dual credit course.
