Universal Design for Learning and Assistive Technology
Assistive Technology is an umbrella term that includes assistive, adaptive, and
rehabilitative devices for persons with disabilities as well as the process used
in selecting, trialing and implementing them. Assistive Technology allows
access to learning for children who have barriers due to their disabilities.
Our Multi-disciplinary Team also includes an Augmentative and Alternative
Communications Team. This is a highly specialized support team that includes
an AT specialist, speech language pathologist, occupational therapist and
therapeutic assistants. Edmonton Catholic Schools is an approved AADL
(Alberta Aids to Daily Living) level 2 service provider.
