School of Alternative Education Summer School at Cardinal Collins offers two different methods of learning opportunities;  classroom-based programming and self-directed programming.

Classroom-based, teacher directed classes designed to prepare students for Alberta Education Diploma Examinations. Classes are offered in January and June.

Our Lady of Grace


Our Lady of Grace provides mobile and individualized services for pregnant or parenting teens.  Weekly parent support groups, pre-natal and post-natal courses offered and referrals available to community agencies.  Educational alternatives are available for students experiencing difficulty in a regular school setting.  Personalized counselling for students and their families is available.

Fresh Start Academic Centres 


Fresh Start Outreach High School is a student-centered program for high school students in Grades 10 – 12 who are not attending a regular high school.  One-on-one support is available from teacher advisors;  all levels of high school courses are offered in a flexible and self-directed learning environment.  




Kids in the Hall Outreach 


Edmonton Catholic Schools in partnership with E4C’s Kids in the Hall Bistro offer a educational program located in Edmonton’s City Hall for inner city youth aged 16 and older who have faced multiple barriers to schooling and employment. Many have been involved with the criminal justice or child welfare systems, have been homeless, or depend on social assistance. The program is geared to tackle the issues that have blocked young people from success.
