The 2017-2018 season was a season to remember. A group of 15 athletes, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn came together to play in 5 challenging tournaments and a competitive league. With commitment and hard work, the girls improved immensely from November to February.  The leadership from our grade 12’s was key to our team this year, as we were very young.  The future is bright with a possible 11 players returning for next year.  It was a great season with many memories, and we are very proud of the girls’ never quit attitude!

The 2017-2018 Varsity Basketball season was a very successful season for the team. We finished 2nd in our Division with an 8-3 record. We were successful in most of our tournament; Won Consolation Finals in Red Deer Classic and in our Green & Gold Classic, 3rd in Father Michael Troy Tournament (St. Joes). Unfortunately we had a bad playoff run which took us out of the championship. Congratulations to our captain Ben Rathje for being voted as one the best players in our league (Metro All-Star).  Overall, our season was competitive and memorable. Thanks to all the players for a great season. To all the graduates good luck in your future endeavors!  - “FOR THE TEAM”
