Welcome to St. Joseph Catholic High School—a unique educational experience unlike any other in the Edmonton area. The St. Joseph experience is deeply invested in the families of our students. Embedded in our high school experience is the opportunity to grow in a Christ-centred community of faith where the core values of Edmonton Catholic Schools are permeated within every program offered at our school. Our Catholic school experience embraces the development of a faith-based community.

At the core of our community are the relationships nurtured within our Teacher Advisor groupings. Every student registered at our school is assigned a Teacher Advisor who will work closely with the student and their family to ensure the educational experience is customized to the unique needs of each student. Our objective is to ensure that students become Self-Directed Learners once they graduate from our school. Our school mantra ‘Palma Non Sine Pulvere’ (No Glory Without Effort) speaks to our expectation that every child can realize their full potential if they work hard and are committed to their education. The process employed in teaching our students focuses on a Guided Customized Learning (GCL) program. This teaching method has been in practice at our school for the past 21 years and has helped thousands of students successfully transition to post secondary education.

In our program, students are guided by their Teacher Advisors and classroom teachers to understand how to navigate the challenges of the high school experience. Parents are active partners at our school and are in constant contact with their child’s Teacher Advisor with respect to academic progress and educational planning.

Whatever the students’ interest, we have a host of opportunities waiting to be explored. On behalf of the students and staff of St. Joseph Catholic High School, I eagerly look forward to having you join our family as we work together to help all our students Explore Your Potential! Warm regards, Mr. Brad Koshka, Principal
