For Brooke Huber, lacrosse is not just a sport, it’s a lifestyle:
“I have been lucky enough to grow up playing the game I love the most starting at age 2. My career started with The West Edmonton Blues in 1997, I played with them for 10 years.
Heading to play female lacrosse for my midget years I played with the St. Albert Rams from 2008-2010 earning The Breanna Deptuck Memorial award in my first year.
From there I made my way to the Jr. Ladies St. Albert Drillers club, where we won 2 provincial titles, and I was named Rookie of the year in 2010.
During my Jr career, I was blessed enough to attend STFX lacrosse academy for my 3 years, with the sport taking me too Texas, Hawaii, Palm Springs and throughout Canada.
Once my Junior years were over I made the move to the Beaumont Bandits, where I will finish my career with the senior Ladies 3 year reigning Provincial Champions!
From 2014-2016 I have been selected to play with Team Alberta winning a bronze, silver and gold medal with the squad, also earning myself a spot on the All Star team 2/3 years I’ve played AB.
I played 4 years of Women’s field lacrosse traveling all over for the love of the game.
I was lucky enough to play with a team out of California as well as BC for a few tournaments into the states, while playing locally for the Razorbacks program.
I have been coaching lacrosse for the last 6 years from mini tykes all the way too midget.
I am happy to find myself back at STFX to share the experiences lacrosse has brought me and to provide knowledge of the sport to our upcoming athletes.”
