Dance 15 - Dance Technique (3 Credit)

Dance 15 offers students the opportunity to explore a variety of dance instruction while developing and refining their dance technique. Students will generate movement through structured choreography and unstructured improvisations. Students will learn and create choreography while understanding safe practices with regards to themselves and others in a dance environment. This course is for students who have never danced before or who have danced for a few years.

 

 Dance 25 - Intermediate Dance (3 Credit)

Dance 25 offers students the opportunity to explore a variety of dance instruction as well as refine dance technique. Students will learn choreography, collaborate to create dances and improve improvisational skills. Dancers will gain understanding of movement principles and apply the understanding to increase their dance technique. This course is for students who have taken Dance 15 or who have proven they have sufficient technique to prevent injuries at this level.

 

 Dance 35 - Advanced Dance (5 Credit)

 Dance 35 allows students the opportunity to explore a variety of dance instruction and perfect their dance technique. Students learn choreography but will be expected to create choreography in groups and individually to prepare dancers for a future in dance. Dancers will consistently apply correct movement principles at a high level of dance. This course is for students who have taken Dance 25 and wish to take their dance technique and performance ability to the next level.
