Ben Calf Robe — St. Clare K–9 School is on Treaty 6 land, and as is the City of Edmonton. The unique Nehiyaw Pimatisiwin Cree Language and Culture Program offered at Ben Calf Robe / St. Clare K–9 School successfully serves Edmonton’s growing urban Indigenous population.

In 2017 the school's population stands at 478 students from KG to Grade 9. The major modernization of the current permanent core buildings (4,813 sqm) and proposed new addition (1532sqm) will accommodate a built-out capacity of 700 students (6,345sqm).

Upgrades to the existing buildings will include: hazardous material abatement, mechanical and electrical system upgrades, building envelope upgrades, site improvements, code compliance upgrades, barrier free code compliance upgrades. Upgrades to core program space and program support space (wrap around services, cultural program space) will be driven by the knowledge that Ben Calf Robe / St. Clare K-9 School is a ‘trauma informed’ school.
