School Council

Each of programs at St. Basil operates a School Council and a Parent Fundraising Society. All parents are encouraged to participate in these groups.

A School Council is a collective association of parents, teachers, secondary students, principal, staff and community representative(s) whose purpose is to advise the principal and the board respecting matters relating to the school. It is a means for parents and community members to work

together with the school to support and enhance student learning.

A Parent Fundraising Society is a group that provides a means for parents and community members to provide additional financial resources and support to the school. This is usually done through participation in casinos and other fundraising activities.
