Clubs
Workout club was introduced this year. Using our new weight room, we are aiming to become stronger both physically and mentally. Students from Grade 6 to Grade 9 come to support and encourage each each other in developing healthy bodies and minds. It’s a great way to spend some time with friends.
Science Club is another new club introduced this year. We will be problem solving and creating projects for the Science Olympics in February.
Games Club continues on Fridays in the réseau. Students can play a variety of board games with friends during the lunch recess.
Homework Club takes place on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Students can complete assignments or study for their classes. There’s always a teacher supervisor to answer questions.
Leadership Club takes place every Monday. The students in this group publish a monthly newsletter that can be found on the school website. They also plan school spirit events, such as Hat Day, and school dances.
Art Club meets on Wednesdays. These students are looking forward to showcasing their talents for the school community.
Life Club Among other diversity and justice issues, this group will be engaged in activities which support students to continue to build inclusive communities, aligned with our Catholic social teachings.
Glee Club This enthusiastic group of individuals meets weekly to share their talents and their love of music. They look forward to performing at community venues, as well as at the Heart of Glee fundraiser in March.
School Athletics
Our school is represented by junior and senior level teams in a variety of sports such as basketball, volleyball and soccer. Holy Cross Crusaders have won many championships over the years. We are proud of our tradition of excellence, integrity and fair play.
