Dear Parents/Guardians:

We have been welcoming our friends from Fort McMurray as they arrive and have 11 new students enrolled so far. Through your kind donations of clothing, food & cash and the staff sharing cash & gift cards we have helped the new families as well as a few families who staff & parents have taken in. In most cases they just needed to feel welcome and see their children return to the routine of school during this very challenging time in their lives. Bravo everyone!

We also had an amazing Rosary Garden Celebration to officially open our new prayer ground. It is a permanent place to pray, teach and reflect for many years to come. Please stop by and walk the rosary path when you get a chance and celebrate all the parts including a heart project commemorating Residential Schools for our FNMI families.

You will also see a change in front of the garden very soon as plans are in place to relocate the daycare in our school for September 2016 and create a second parking lot where the daycare is located at this time. This is very welcoming news for our staff and guests and will also have a drop off zone for parents to use as students arrive. Please join us all on Monday, June 13 from 5-7pm when a Community Information Session is being hosted to explain the process.

We your administration team, are reflecting on our last 2 years with you and this vibrant and dedicated community. It continues to amaze us every day how everyone works together to make every day here successful and an exciting place to learn. We are working as a team with the new Principal, Mrs. Pollitt and the new Assistant Principal, Mr. Gosse. They are spending time at the school and the 4 of us have created a wonderful transition of information and all the important parts of what make this such a great school! So with that shared, we want to wish everyone a wonderful relaxing summer break. If you are returning, school starts on Thursday, September 1, which is a half day, AM only. We will send home a final one page newsletter to returning students at the end of the month.

So let the summer be a time of rest, joy & renewal. We are honored to have been part of the St. Justin family!

Much Gratitude & Kind Regards,
