How to Register at Austin O'Brien High School

In order to register your child at AOB, parents are required to complete the student registration form see below.

1. Complete and print off the registration form along with the parent signature

2. Collect copies of the following documents

  • Birth Certificate

  • Proof of current address

  • Most recent report card

  • Citizenship documents, if applicable

Return completed registration form and documents to Austin O'Brien's main office.

Students from feeder Junior High Schools must identify their intentions to attend Austin O'Brien at their present school. Students will be registered in the following order of priority:

    A. Resident students residing in the attendance area.

    B. Resident students residing outside the attendance area.

    C. Non-Catholic students in the attendance area currently enrolled in Edmonton Catholic

    D. Non-resident students residing within the attendance area.

    E. Non-resident students residing outside the attendance area.

Are you a resident of Edmonton Catholic Schools?

A resident student is a Catholic or has at least one parent who is a Catholic, or under the authority of the Child Welfare Act, has been placed in a foster home where the foster parent is a resident of Edmonton Catholic Schools. Also, a resident must reside within the corporate limits of the City of Edmonton, be six years of age or older on or before March 1 or 19 years of age or younger as of September 1 of the current school year. In the case of a kindergarten student, is 5 years of age or older on or before March 1 of the current school year.

Students who do not meet the above conditions are considered non-resident students and may enroll at Edmonton Catholic Schools given the adequate availability of resources as determined by the principal and school district.



Edmonton Catholic Schools Division (ECSD) offers online registration. Avoid long line-ups at the school office – register your child using our simple online process. Schools provide computer access to those who do not have Internet service.
