MATH 10-3, 20-3 & 30-3
The Math -3 stream is designed for students who plan to enter the workforce or trades.
Math 10C is the starting point for both the Math-1 and Math-2 course sequences. Admission to Math 10AP does not require completion of Math 9AP.
PRE-REQUISITE: 50% or higher in Math 9
MATH 20-2 & 30-2
Math -2 courses are for students who want to attend a university, college, or technical institute after high school, but do not need calculus skills. This includes the following programs: Arts, Civil Engineering Technology, Law, Medical Technologies, Nursing and some apprenticeship programs.
PRE-REQUISITE: 50% or higher in Math 10C
MATH 20-1 & 30-1
Math -1 courses are designed for students who want to study Math or Sciences at a university, college, or technical institute and go on to math related careers such as Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Sciences, some Business studies, or other programs that require advanced math skills.
PRE-REQUISITE: 60% or higher in Math 10C and -1 level Math
MATH 10C AP, 20-1 AP, 30-1 AP & CALCULUS 31 AP
Math AP courses are designed for students who enjoy Math and its challenges and wish to learn in a faster-paced learning environment with other motivated students. In addition to the Alberta Math
Programs of Study, AP students are provided with regular enrichment opportunities and a strong algebra and concept background that leads directly to Calculus AP. Students intending to go into Engineering at university are strongly encouraged to take the AP sequence of courses.
