September 2019

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It is with pleasure that we welcome our new and returning families to the 2019‐12 school exciting time for all of us, filled with anticipation and optimism for the year ahead.

On September 12th, we look forward to meeting you at our BBQ at 5:00pm (hosted by School Council), followed by our Meet the Teacher event at 6:00pm. We will have staff present who will be supervising the younger children from 6:00–7:00pm (watching a film).

We know that individual accomplishment and student engagement drive achievement. Our instructional staff is committed to promoting cooperative learning strategies which foster positive interactions, individual accountability, equal and active participation by all, simultaneous interation among out students, and fair assessment. Our students benefit from the instruction they receive from their teachers, who demonstrate the skills students require to be successful in the 21st Century. Skills such as reflection, collaboration, communication, research, self‐assessment, and collection of evidence of learning. Together, we will all grow, meet new friends, and learn in the fullness of happiness and peace.

We believe that in order to truly experience the fullness of life and of God’s love, we need to be able to begin to acknowledge our purpose and to be able to identify how we can make a difference in our world. Small steps; bigger steps. We are all empowered by God to improve our lives and that of those around us as we walk together in God's love.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.

We wish all of our children and families a wonderful 2019‐20 school year!

Warm regards,

Denis Gauthier
