How To Register



School Information

We are located at 7411-161 A Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T5Z 3V4. St. John Bosco School's attendance area is East to West 59A St to 82 St and from North & South 194 Ave to 153 Ave. Neighbourhoods include:

Registration Information for Gr. 1-6 Registrations

If your child is entering our Kindergarten program, he/she must be five years of age by December 31, 2020. Please click on the  Kindergarten tab to the left to get specific Kindergarten registration information.

Any NEW registrations to our school require ECSD ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM TO BE COMPLETED  and COPIES OF THE FOLLOWING to be submitted. 

Birth certificate
Proof of Residency to verify home address (utility bill)

For information regarding your child/children registering at St. John Bosco Catholic School you may contact us at  (780) 471-3140, or drop by our office between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Open House Information

Our Open House will take place on January 30 at 6 pm. The open house is intended for our any new parents of Kindergarten children, as well as any new families from grades 1 to 6 within our catchment areas as noted above.

Transportation Information

All students in Grades K-6 are required to complete a transportation request form if they are riding the bus. Please click on link below to access important district transportation site where you can access the necessary transportation forms.

All students in Grades K-6 riding the bus must inform main office of particular transportation needs. (eg. not riding on certain days or any given months throughout the school year)

Kindergarten Yellow Bus Transportation

There is no transportation charge for eligible kindergarten students enrolled in a regular kindergarten program.  They will be given an annual bus pass instead of a monthly pass. 

Any early childhood (kindergarten) student requiring transportation must complete a form that can be obtained from our office.

 Absentee Check Program

If a child is absent from school, the parent/guardian is required to contact the school office to notify us of their absence during business hours or, we have an answering machine available to you 24 hours.  We would appreciate your co-operation with this matter, as it will eliminate a follow up call to your place of employment, residence, or emergency contact number.

If your child will be leaving the school either for an appointment, early vacation, sport competitions etc. please notify the office. Your child must sign out in the general office before leaving the school premises.



Edmonton Catholic Schools Division (ECSD) offers online registration. Avoid long line-ups at the school office – register your child using our simple online process. Schools provide computer access to those who do not have Internet service.
