FOCUS on Self-Regulation is a resource for educators and parents that teaches children (ages 3-8) how to manage their emotions through whole body and social-emotional games.
Children who are exposed to a variety of ideas and wonders, are better able to discover and develop their own interests. Emergent curriculum integrates existing curriculum, skills, concepts and competencies into child-led experiences.
It is important to embrace Universal Designs for Learning – where we are able to target specific goals and intentional strategies for students with identified needs, but also recognize that many of the strategies are excellent for all, wherever children are on the learning continuum.
As we explore creativity, originality is rare . . . innovation on an idea is more possible but essentially ideas are everywhere, and it is the gift of connecting ideas together and playing with these connections and new possibilities that draw out the best in children.
