Lisa Turchansky was elected on October 16, 2017 and is serving her third year of a four-year term representing Ward 76.
Lisa’s business experience spans over 28 years in the financial industry. She has been a small business owner for the past eight years.
As a Trustee for Edmonton Catholic Schools
As a member of the Committee of the Whole, Lisa serves on the Governance Committee and the Board Audit and Finance Committee.
Lisa has served on the Student Senate/Voice to liaise between the Senate and Board.
Lisa has served as one of two trustees on the Board’s Community Engagement Committee and is the Board representative on the Division’s ATA Negotiating Committee and the Division’s Unifor Negotiating Committee.
External Committees, Organizations
Lisa is the Board’s representative on the Senate of Newman Theological College. She has served as the alternate Board representative on the Alberta Catholic School Trustees’ Association and is the alternate Board representative on the Alberta School Boards Association.
Lisa has been a Member of St. Thomas More Parish for over 43 years and during that time has served as a Lector.
As a parent Lisa has served on School Councils for eight years, and in the capacity of chair for five years.
Lisa also volunteers on the Society for Friends of St. Alphonsus Catholic School and volunteers at pancake breakfasts in high needs schools.
Lisa has been the co-chair of Edmonton’s Festival of Trees Luncheon for three years.
