Welcome to the department of Student Support Services. 

Student Support is a multifaceted department comprised of a multitude of programs and services which encompasses:

  • Alternative Education including Cardinal Collins High School Academic Centres
  • Indigenous Learning Services
  • Information for New Immigrants (One World…One Centre)
  • Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC)

We are very proud of the work we do to provide exceptional support and enhanced opportunities to the students of Edmonton Catholic Schools.

Indigenous Learning Services

Indigenous Learning Services continues to assist Division schools to be responsive to the needs of Indigenous students. Indigenous Learning Services has taken a leadership role in Alberta in the development of "Promising Practices" in urban Indigenous education in integrated settings. With its wide variety of programming and creative partnerships, our staff has been able to provide Indigenous students within Edmonton Catholic Schools with an increasingly culturally relevant education.

Welcome to the Edmonton Catholic School District (ECSD) Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program. We are a not for profit organization funded by the Government of Canada to provide language instruction to refugees, landed immigrants and permanent residents.
