Pope Francis says getting vaccinated is ‘An Act of Love’
Pope Francis is adding his voice to a campaign to overcome vaccine skepticism, issuing a public service announcement insisting that vaccines are safe, effective, and an "act of love" for others.
We all play a role in ensuring our world is as safe as possible and that we minimize the spread of COVID-19. Edmonton Catholic Schools will continue to encourage all eligible staff and students to get vaccinated. Children aged 12 and up are eligible to receive a first and second dose of an approved vaccine.
Edmonton Catholic Schools will support Alberta Health Services as it runs temporary vaccination clinics in our schools. Immunization is voluntary and will be available in September and October for eligible students in Grades 7-12 and staff. More information will be provided to parents and guardians; parental consent will be required for in-school immunizations.
