Edmonton Catholic Schools has started the 100 Voices screening process for the 2021/2022 school year. We are still accepting applications, but space is limited. 100 Voices is a Pre-Kindergarten program for 3 and 4 year old’s and is the first step in a child’s educational journey in our Division.
The 100 Voices program supports:
- 3 and 4 year old children with severe developmental delays. (We access Program Unit Funding to provide targeted supports and services for these children with severe needs)
- 4 year old’s who are English Language Learners or
- 4 year old’s that have mild to moderate delays
100 Voices is a faith-based program where learning is through play. Students will take part in rich opportunities with the integration of literacy, numeracy, and the fine arts. The program also includes access to assistive technology and communication tools.
New for the 2021/2022 school year, we are introducing 100 Voices hubs at four schools. These locations will serve all areas in Edmonton and will allow for a range of specialists to work along side teachers for intentional and targeted intervention. The list of specialists includes Speech and Language Pathologist, Emotional Behavioral Specialist, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Family School Liaison Worker and Inclusive Consultant.
100 Voices will be offered at St. Monica Early Learning Centre, Our Lady of Victories Catholic School, St. Clement Catholic School, St. Vladimir, and the Edmonton Valley Zoo.
If you have a child who may qualify for the 100 Voices programs, apply online by clicking here. After completing the online application, school staff will contact you to book a screening session. Parents do not need to prepare their children for screening. Our team of specialists will use age-appropriate games and activities to guide them through the screening process to determine programming eligibility.
