Larry Kowalczyk was elected in 2010 and is currently serving his second term.
Larry is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan and earned his Graduate Diploma in Educational Administration from the University of Alberta. Larry taught for 28 years with Edmonton Catholic Schools in all three divisions.
In the Capacity of Trustee
As a member of the Committee of the Whole, Larry serves on the Board Governance and Priorities Committee and Audit and Finance Committee. He is the past Chair of the Board's Audit and Finance Committee.
Other Internal Committees Larry has served include the Interpretation and Grievance Committee of the District's Alberta Union of Public Employees (AUPE) group; the District's negotiation team for AUPE, and the District's C2 Committee.
Larry represented the Board on the Concordia Advisory Committee of the B Ed Program and is serving his second term as the Board's representative on the Board of Directors of the Alberta Catholic School Trustees' Association (ACSTA). Volunteer Interests
Throughout his career, Larry has served on a variety of committees, including parish councils. Larry and his wife attend Santa Maria Goretti Church where he is a member of the finance committee and is a lector on Sundays.
