The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me beside still waters; he restores my soul.
(Psalm 23: 1-3)

This beautiful passage from scripture is one of the most well known.  It presents us with a wonderful picture of the abundance and the comfort that God offers us through the great gift of His love.  How could our response to this amazing grace be anything but gratitude and thanksgiving!

I wish you a blessed Thanksgiving with your loved ones.  May this special time give you the opportunity to pause and celebrate the goodness of our God in your life!

God, whose gifts are countless and whose goodness is without limit,
teach us, we pray, to use wisely the rich blessings of land and sea,
to be attentive to the needs of others, and to give as freely as we have received,
that we may, in the joy of your house, delight one day in eternal rewards.

Through our Lord. Amen
