Thanksgiving

I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have being.

~ Psalm 104: 33

As a people of God, we acknowledge that there is so much for us to be grateful for in our lives, all of which is given to us through His grace.  Author Matthew Kelly speaks of the concept of holy moments, times when we are being the person God created us to be, and we are doing what we feel God wants us to do in that moment. They are moments of intentionality.

Thanksgiving offers us a beautiful opportunity to pause and take time to experience holy moments, to intentionally spend time in community with those we love and to give thanks for the abundant signs of God’s love in our lives.

May you have a blessed Thanksgiving marked by many holy moments!

God, whose gifts are countless and whose goodness is without limit, teach us, we pray, to use wisely the rich blessings of land and sea, to be attentive to the needs of others, and to give as freely as we have received, that we may, in the joy of your house, delight one day in eternal rewards.  Through our Lord.

Amen
