Division Strategic Leadership Council

The Division Strategic Leadership Council (DSLC) provides strategic planning and forecasting to support Edmonton Catholic Schools' Foundation Statement, our 21st Century Learning Statement and our statement on Katholos:  Education for Life for All – Defining Statement of Inclusive Education in our Division. 

Membership

  • Superintendent
  • General Counsel
  • Chief Financial Officer
  • Assistant Superintendent, Educational Planning
  • Assistant Superintendent, Facilities Services
  • Assistant Superintendent, Human Resource Services
  • Assistant Superintendent, Division Operations and Information and Infrastructure
  • Technology Services
  • Assistant Superintendent, Learning Services, Enhancement
  • Assistant Superintendent, Learning Services, Innovation
  • Principal Representatives – total of 6 (2 from each level – per half year)

Meeting Schedule

Bi-weekly, or as necessary, either through on site meetings or office communicator (8:00-10:00 a.m. – 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, or as otherwise scheduled).    

Note:  Assistant Superintendents, Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel will meet 2nd and 4th Wednesdays and also following the Division Strategic Leadership Council meetings.  

Expectations

  • That the Division Strategic Leadership Council be viewed as a sounding board for initiatives, issues, concerns and celebration.
  • That members bring forward transformational ideas to facilitate Division improvement. 
  • That principal representatives liaise with their colleagues in a regular and timely way.
  • That members are comfortable in sharing different perspectives. 
  • That members prepare for the meetings by reading information prior to the meeting.
  • That the matters and issues identified as confidential are treated as confidential.
