Human Resource Services department acts in a supportive role to Edmonton Catholic Schools in addressing human resource needs for all District employees.
Human Resource Services initiatives address a variety of responsibilities which impact all components of our organization. Examples include: good hiring practices, staffing, staff development, employee orientation and recognition, employee absences, grievances and disciplinary response, employee assistance programs, benefits management, contract negotiations and management, production and distribution of payroll and handling the business of data management for our 3400 plus employees.
- Leadership Training – a program for certificated staff considering a career in school based leadership.
- Principal Training – a program of discernment and training for assistant principals who are preparing for a possible appointment to the principalship.
- New Principals’ Training – a program that provides training, support and mentorship to first year principals.
