Financial Services


We provide support to Trustees, Senior Administrators and Principals on ​financial matters in the District by providing clear, concise, timely and relevant financial information. Financial Services is responsible for:

  • Coordinating the District’s budget process
  • Submitting the approved budget to Alberta Education 
    and updating as required
  • Recording and monitoring of all District funding
  • Preparing the District’s annual financial statements
  • Liaisoning with the Auditors
  • Implementing and reviewing the District’s internal financial controls
  • Monitoring of allocations and related expenditures
  • Auditing of school/site based records
  • Managing the Corporate Purchase Card Program
  • Providing purchasing services to schools and departments
  • Operating an effective and efficient warehouse, inventory, distribution and delivery service​
