Edmonton Catholic Schools is one of Alberta's Top Employers for 2016The Edmonton Catholic School District was named this morning as one of Alberta's Top 70 Employers for 2016! This special designation is organized by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers and recognizes Alberta employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work. "This is such an honour," said Joan Carr, Superintendent. "We are so pleased to offer our employees a workplace that provides personal and professional growth while valuing each person for the gifts they bring to the District," Carr went on to say. Companies that submit to Canada's Top 100 are automatically entered into their regional competition. Organizations from throughout the province were assessed to be one of the top 70 employers in the province. The editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers evaluates organizations for the provincial designation by using the same eight criteria as the national competition:
- Physical workplace
- Work atmosphere and communications
- Financial benefits and compensation
- Health and family friendly benefits
- Vacation and personal time off
- Employee engagement and performance
- Training and skills development
- Community involvement
Employers are compared to other organizations and then chosen for offering the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.
"Our staff are committed, caring and passionate and every staff member in the District helps prepare students each day to live fully and serve God in one another," added Carr.
