Student Services
Our student services department is vibrant hub of energy and enthusiasm, ready to support students in many ways:
Counselling
Ms. Cordingley is our school counsellor, and counsels on topics such as educational planning, post-secondary and careers, as well as personal or crisis issues. She also lends her expertise to teaching Dual Credit Psychology and works to organize post-secondary institution visits, Junior High Shadow Days, and Feeder School presentations. Appointments can be booked in advance, but she also sees students throughout their lunch and spares. Ms. Cordingley can be reached at Sandra.cordingley@ecsd.net
Registered Psychologist
Cory Donald is a Registered Psychologist with Edmonton Catholic Schools. Cory has been with Edmonton Catholic Schools for 18 years, starting his career as a classroom teacher, transitioning to a consulting role with Learning Services, and then re-integrating back into the schools as a counsellor and psychologist. Professionally, Cory works from a solution focused perspective, utilizing cognitive behavioural and narrative strategies with young people. Cory’s practice rests on a foundation of positive psychology. Cory’s support is available to all students and he can be reached via email, through another staff member or by knocking on his office door! Cory.Donald@ecsd.net
Family School Liaison Worker (FSLW)
This year, Danielle Wade is joining us 2-3 days a week to support students and their families in a variety of areas. She has a comprehensive approach, always willing to listen, help problem solve, and provide information. Most importantly, she is there to support you, whether your stress is related to home, school, your personal life, or anything in between! Talk to your grade coordinator, send her an email danielle.wade@ecsd.net or swing by her office to get in touch with her.
Police
One of our more obvious team members wears his Edmonton Police Service uniform proudly as he walks the halls and helps students and staff in many ways. Constable Maciej Rocki has worked for EPS for many years and brings his wealth of experience and knowledge to our school. Not only will he investigate criminal and non-criminal offenses and help maintain the safety of our school, he also works to mentor and empower students to make healthy choices in life. Maciej is also active in providing presentations to our students, ranging from topics on drugs to legal aspects of relationships and consent. His office is in the student services area, but he can be found all over the school and is always willing to stop and chat. Email him anytime with any questions you might have maciej.rocki.ta@ecsd.net
