At this time we will unfortunately be cancelling the 2020 Graduation Ceremonies that were tentatively scheduled for September 20, 2020. Even though we were able to have events in the Spring of 2020 with the Parent organized student Grad car parade and the June 19 Grad appreciation day at school we had hoped that a Fall ceremony be possible. We have recently been informed by the Edmonton Convention Centre that the maximum number of people they can have in any of their Halls' is still limited to 100 individuals as per AHS guidelines. Given that limitation and the fact that we had in excess of 300 Graduates alone, there is no way that a public group ceremony is possible.
We are also awaiting further direction from the Edmonton Catholic School Division regarding any further ceremonies/events that may take place for the Graduating class of 2020. At that time we will be sure to update our school website and disperse information via social media.
On behalf of the Archbishop MacDonald Staff and school community we would like to once again congratulate all of our 2020 Graduates and wish them all the best in the forthcoming year.
