CLOSED STAT. HOLIDAYS, PD DAYS, AND SUMMER.
**THIS PROGRAM IS DEVELOPED WITH THE SPECIFIC INPUT OF ALL THE CHILDREN ATTENDING THE PROGRAM.
SNACKS- (Currently suspended due to COVID-19) We follow the Canada Food Guide and all snacks are nutritious, delicious, and served daily after school. Some examples of our snacks are pyrogys, pudding, soup, vegetable, fruits, muffins, rice, Jello, pickles, cheese, crackers, pretzels, mac and cheese, and many more.
ACTIVITIES- Due to COVID-19 some of our activities will be altered or suspended.
Physical activities are designed to promote small and large motor skills, team cooperation, leadership skills, fair play, and lots of fun! Some examples of gym activities are basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, skipping, hula hoops, scoops, races, obstacle courses, badminton, statue, parachute, and playground activities year round.
Room activities promote creativity, fine motor skills, cooperation, respect for others, imaginative play, and leadership skills. Some examples of room activities are coloring, card games, drawing, Littlest Pet Shop, K'NEX, Lego, dress-up, Barbies, Beyblades, board games, puzzles, action figures, dominoes, and Karaoke. We use Chromeboks throughout the week. Internet access is supervised and the children are encouraged to play educational games.
Craft each week can be Imagination Station, Fimo, Shrinkydinks, friendship bracelets, holiday crafts, Perler beads, and Bead buddies to name a few.
Community Connections - Edmonton Police, Edmonton Public Library, Yoga Instructor, Zumba instructor and two local artists have all been our guests.
