Meet Our Team

Nicole Pertich -

Nicole is a Registered Psychologist and has been working with Edmonton Catholic School Division for 9 years. In those 9 years she has worked in a variety of roles within the division; she was an Early Learning Facilitator in 100 Voices, taught the Incredible Years Program at Genesis Schools, was an Emotional Behaviour Specialist, and has registered as a Psychologist. Prior to working with ECSD, Nicole worked with Children’s Autism Services of Edmonton and The G.R.I.T Program to support children with Autism and their families. Nicole is passionate about students accessing counselling, play therapy, and psychological testing to support them in creating positive school experiences and facilitate their social, emotional, and academic well-being.

Laura Moniz -

This is Laura's second year at Seton as the Family School Liaison Worker. She has worked at many schools throughout the district with students in preschool to grade 12. Her role is to address the needs of families by coordinating community services, and to advocate for families and the school. She enjoys being a safe place for students to visit when they feel overwhelmed or just need someone to talk to. She is mom to three adult children, and has three grand doggies Evie (German Shepherd), Delilah (Golden Retriever), and Annie (Golden Doodle). 

Monica Frick

Monica Frick is the Emotional Behavioural Specialist (EBS) at St. Elizabeth Seton who works as part of multi-disciplinary team to provide school-based intervention services for students with behavioural and or emotional challenges as they impact their ability to learn. Monica has completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and is currently working to complete her Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology.

The services the EBS provides can be implemented at a whole class, small group or individual level to foster adaptive emotional regulation, social skills and positive behaviour. If a student requires support at an individual level to target emotional or behavioural concerns, the EBS works collaboratively with the school team and parents to develop strategies for increasing adaptive skills within the school environment.
