Catholic Faith

J. J. Bowlen Junior High School Mission Statement

With Jesus as our model, J. J. Bowlen Catholic School nurtures the heart, mind and spirit by engaging students to develop their gifts and achieve their potential. We welcome all students by creating learning opportunities centered on mutual respect, perseverance, and creative thought. Our students will be equipped for the demands of 21st century by engaging in an academic curriculum that promotes critical thinking, collaboration, and inquiry. As we work together and learn together, all members of our school community will experience a sense of belonging and acceptance through our commitment to serve one another.

J. J. Bowlen's CHARISM Statement

With John James Bowlen’s life of service as a guide, our school community seeks inspiration from the Holy Spirit as we develop an ever deeper faith rooted in the person of Jesus Christ.

Religious Education:

All of the Schools in the Edmonton Catholic School District use a Religious Education Program that is prescribed by our Alberta Bishops and provided through the National Office for Religious Education in Ottawa. The Program ranges from Kindergarten to Grade Twelve, and offers students with an overview of our Catholic faith as well as grade specific themes.
