100 Voices The PACE Pathway – for Gifted and Talented Programming
What does PACE stand for?
Programming to Ability and Creative Excellence
There are many ways in which our children are gifted. In all children, and in all our programs, our goal is to nurture their growth and ignite their spirits for learning as they discover their passions.
Gifted and talented is far more than ability. It is about interest and aptitude and going deeper with understanding learning outcomes and skill development – while enabling our students to explore their interests as they become more aware about their world. Children who meet the gifted criteria will have an individualized program plan developed.
New to the upcoming 2021-22 school year is an additional pathway within our 100 Voices (pre-K) program offered at the Edmonton Valley Zoo location for children called The PACE Pathway for Gifted and Talented Programming.
To determine eligibility for gifted and talented funding through Alberta Education, we will be leveraging a parent questionnaire as well as a standardized language assessment.
How to Apply?
Families can apply via our application process for 100 Voices programming.
Note: The 100 Voices program at the Zoo will continue to nurture a love of animals and environmental responsibility, while focusing on language and literacy development, mathematics, and numeracy, fine arts, inquiry, and play based learning.
