As a Grade two teacher my goal is to help each and every student reach their maximum potential and experience all the joys of learning. This is an important year where students learn many new things such as academics, organization, social skills, as well as self-confidence and responsibility. The curriculum is covered in a variety of fun and exciting ways so that all students can be successful, regardless of their learning style. I try to instill a life-long love of learning in my students.

A few of the fun projects we do in Grade 2 include:

  1. Numerous and varied reading projects writing a fractured fairy tale
  2. Using their personal Chromebooks to make a google slide presentation on Iqaluit
  3. Performing hands on science experiments
  4. Learning math skills to establish a strong mathematical foundation.
