In Early Learning programs, children actively engage in organized activities, purposeful play, and inquiry-based learning through exploration of materials and their environment. Learner expectations are integrated through learning activities that are developmentally appropriate for young children. Early Learning programming addresses young children’s social, emotional, intellectual, physical, and creative needs.
Annunciation offers Kindergarten with full day programming. Students are involved in Kindergarten programming for half a day and the Extensions program for half a day. The Kindergarten program is taught by a certified teacher and is based on Alberta Education’s Program of Studies, while the Extensions program is provided by an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) that guides meaningful play experiences and is based on Flight: Alberta’s Early Learning and Care Framework, as an anchor for the program.
