The Board consists of seven trustees who are elected during the Municipal Elections, which are held every three years on the third Monday of October. The current term for the trustees is 2007 - 2010. The next election will take place in October 2010.

The Board of Trustees is committed to serving our community and to working to preserve our Catholic identity. In accordance with its governance model the Board defines values and vision for the District and assures that its mission to provide a Catholic education which inspires and prepares students to learn, to work, to live fully, and to serve God in one another is affirmed. The Board hires the Superintendent who is the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Education Officer of the Board.

The Board holds its Regular Board Meetings at Catholic Education Services, 9807 - 106 Street once a month from September to June. To access dates click on Meeting Dates or call 780-441-6002.

Corporate Secretary

The Corporate Secretary is an Officer of the Board who reports to the Superintendent. The Secretary attends all Board meetings; acts as Parliamentarian and is the official signing authority for the Minute Book of all Regular and Special Public Board meetings. In addition, the Secretary is responsible for the management of the office of the Board of Trustees. This involves assisting board members in carrying out their responsibilities, coordinating board workshops/seminars, attending to daily correspondence and providing assistance to Trustees, administrators and employee groups regarding board business. The Secretary coordinates activities relating to Municipal Elections as they occur every three years including setting up of forums, meeting with City officials prior to and following elections, and preparing orientations following elections. As well, the Corporate Secretary is responsible for preparing and chairing the Organizational Meeting each fall.
