Superintendent's Message - December 2006 |

As Christmas approaches we recall the miracle of Jesus and how, through Mary, God became human in order to save us. For two thousand years we have been guided by the light of Jesus Christ, our “star”. The three Magi followed a star to Bethlehem; a star guided the Jewish people wandering in the desert. As we look toward the future of our school district, the five distinctive points of a star represent the most important aspects of our school district: Catholic identity, learning, people, resources, and community. Jesus Christ, our guiding star, unites us as we work toward our common goal of inspiring and preparing students to learn, to work, to live fully, to serve God in one another. This Christmas season we also celebrate the progress we have made over the past year as a Catholic school district. Let us renew our commitment to one another: our children, teachers and staff members, parents, trustees and parishes. We commend everyone who takes an active role in building strong Catholic school communities. During this very blessed season, let us also renew our commitment to those who are struggling and who need a helping hand. This Christmas let us make it a time of lasting peace and goodwill. Wishing each of you and your families a blessed Christmas.
