At a Board meeting held February 23, 2010, the Trustees voted to keep St. Mark Junior High School, 11625 – 135 Street, open for the 2010-2011 school year. This follows the February 9th meeting with the St. Mark community where Trustees heard a number of ideas from parents as to how to ensure that St. Mark Junior High remains viable. Senior Administration, Trustees and the school community will now work together and decide the option that they will develop to try and increase enrolment. Ideas from the February 9th meeting include exploring the viability of a Kindergarten to Grade 9 program in the attendance area as well as enhancing the Science and Technology Academy at the school.
