Edmonton Catholic Schools programming follows that of Alberta Education , offered within the context of a Catholic Christian community. Curriculum Handbooks and Summaries contain information for parents on subjects, programs and courses available in Catholic schools.

Students attending Edmonton Catholic Schools now have the choice of a variety of new programs, thanks to recommendations generated through a district-wide public consultation process.

Involving more than a quarter of the district's 84 schools, the new initiatives include intensive sports and fine arts programming, holistic and globally-focused teaching approaches and other programs that will better serve school communities
