Edmonton Catholic Schools is pleased to announce the implementation of ParentCONNECTxp. The program allows parents to login to the Parent Connect website and view their child's class assignments, grading information, attendance and demographic information. Parents can easily communicate with teachers via e-mail or receive automatic notification of unexcused absences, missing assignments, or failing grades. Currently, Parent Connect is only offered at select schools. Please contact your child's school to find out if it is available.
Parent Connect provides parents a range of useful information including:
Safe, Secure Access
Parents or guardians may view their child's student information through the Parent Connect web site only after they have registered with the school and received a user ID and password. In addition, to maintain the integrity of student data, the Parent Connect application stores all student information in a "read only" system, so the information is protected from modification. All data exchanged between the Parent Connect system and the parent's computer is encrypted to further protect the data and ensure privacy.
Assignments
Allows parents to review their student's course load, class assignments, grades, and teacher remarks.
Student Information
Enables parents to help keep student records up to date by reviewing basic information such as name, address and emergency information.
Grades
Provides an up-to-date progress report of grades in every class and a history of grades from previous school years, making it easy to track student progress.
Attendance
Shows daily attendance records including tardiness and absences (excused and unexcused) in several views: calendar, absence type, or absence pattern.
School Information
Offers a virtual school bulletin board to notify parents of upcoming events and activities and provides links to other school or district web sites.
