How To Apply

If you wish to apply to study in our schools, please complete the Application form . Download the form in PDF format. Please note that this requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to view. If you are under the age of 18, you must send a copy of the notarized custodianship and parent/guardianship document . Download the form in PDF format. If you don't have Adobe Acrobat, you can download it for free from www.adobe.com .

Prepare all other required documents listed on the Information sheet on the third page of the Application form, attach them to your form and send the entire package to our office by fax to (780) 989-3049 or by mail to the following address:

Please include the proof of tuition fees payment with the application package as indicated below under "Submitting the Application".

Submitting the Application

  1. Complete the Application Form.
  2. Include a copy of International student's valid passport with personal data and photograph.
  3. Include the transcripts of International student's school records for the previous two years.
  4. Include the original statement, from the principal or the teacher, in support of student's academic performance, behavior and attitude in school (reference letter).
  5. If the International student is under 18 years of age, include:
    1. original notarized statement signed by the International student's parents naming the student's legal guardian/custodian in Edmonton, and
    2. original notarized statement of guardianship/custodianship signed by the legal guardian/ custodian in Edmonton.
  6. Submit tuition fee payment in the amount of $10,000 for the full school year or $5,000 for one semester.
    1. Tuition fees can be paid at a bank within Canada by a bank draft, money order or certified cheque, payable to:
      Edmonton Catholic Schools International Student Program

      You or your representative in Edmonton can submit payment in person or by mail.
    2. Tuition fees can be paid at a bank outside Canada, by direct deposit and transferred by wire to the following account:

      If paying outside Canada include the copy of the money transfer document in the application package.

After you submit the application

  • After we receive and review complete application package, we will assess your school transcripts;
  • If the assessment is positive, you are recommended for acceptance to a designated school;
  • At the end of the process we will issue you a Letter of Acceptance (2-3 weeks after we receive your application package, including mailing time);
  • You must submit the Letter of Acceptance to the Canadian Embassy in your country along with your application for Study Permit.
  • Once you arrive in Edmonton you must contact the International Student office at 989-3004. We will arrange an appointment for you to register at your designated school.
  • You will also have to provide a copy of your Study Permit to our office and to your school before you start classes.
  • After you begin school you will be assessed in the academic and language skills in your native language (whenever possible) and in English.
  • Additional English as a Second Language (ESL) support will be provided to you as needed.

Important Notes:

  • On the Application form you must provide Guardian/Custodian information (if applicable).
  • Before you start your classes you are required to provide a proof of your Medical/Health Insurance coverage to your school.
