Custodial SERVICES endeavors to provide a clean, healthy and safe
environment for District
staff and students. It has been said that learning is enhanced
when these criteria are incorporated into the educational plan.
With a staff of 281 custodians, Custodial SERVICES cleans 4,580,679
sq. ft. of District facilities on a daily basis. An annual budget
addresses staffing, contract services, equipment and supplies.
New custodians are trained at St.
Joseph High School where they are introduced to District cleaning
standards. Staff are kept up to date through ongoing custodial informational
bulletin and in-house seminars.
Products and equipment are constantly tested to ensure that custodial
staff are provided quality support in performing their duties. Custodial
SERVICES is actively involved with various aspects of staffing
and equipping all district facilities.
District Custodial SERVICES management provide consultation
to principals and custodial staff with challenges they encounter.
